Milwaukee Bucks at Oklahoma City Thunder Pick and Prediction
Giannis Antetokounmpo and the first place Milwaukee Bucks, will be traveling to Oklahoma City to take on Russell Westbrook and his Thunder. The Bucks hold a 34-12 record, while the Thunder currently sit third in the Western Conference with a record of 30-18. Both teams enter this game on a bit of a hot streak, as the Bucks have won five straight games and the Thunder have been winners of their previous four matchups. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m., as the Thunder have a home record of 16-7 and the Bucks have an away record of 13-8.
Studs on Both Sides
This is set to be a very exciting game, as two of the biggest freak athletes are set to face off between Russell Westbrook and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Westbrook is averaging 21.9 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 10.7 apg and 2.4 stpg. He can absolutely do it all and is coming off back-to-back triple-double performances. His last game against the Pelicans, he logged 23 points, 17 rebounds and 16 assists, which marked his 15thtriple-double of the season. He reached that triple-double with 11:44 left in the third quarter, which marked the fastest triple-double in the NBA this season. He also has three games this season with at least 15 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists, while the rest of the NBA has zero.
Freak Having Awesome Season
For the Bucks, Antetokounmpo is averaging 26.5 ppg, 12.6 rpg, 5.9 apg, 1.4 stpg and 1.4 bpg. The guy does it all and they don’t call him “The Greek Freak” for nothing. His last game against the Dallas Mavericks he posted 31 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists, but this is a walking triple-double threat each game you play him in. Giannis has already been named one of the All-Star game’s captains, and has already poked fun at the possibility of drafting Westbrook and Joel Embiid on his team.
Pick and Prediction
This obviously comes after the last game Westbrook and Embiid faced off, when Embiid committed a hard foul on Westbrook and Westbrook had some explicit comments on their relationship following the game. With that drama to the side, the Thunder have another All-Star on their roster in Paul George. George is averaging 26.9 ppg, 8 rpg and 4 apg, as he adds another dimension to this Thunder team along with Steven Adams. The Thunder offense focuses around those big three, while all five of the Bucks starters average double-digit points. Khris Middleton is averaging 17.3 ppg alongside Giannis, as both complement each other’s games very well.
These two teams faced off in the Preseason, when the Thunder came out on top of the Bucks 119-115. Obviously not all of the starters played in that game, so we really aren’t sure what to expect other than a lot of exciting dunks. With Giannis’s defensive abilities, it’s to be expected that he’ll switch off on both Westbrook and George. We’re going to side with the home team in this one, as this game could easily come down to the final buzzer.
