All-star forward Khris Middleton will sit out tonight’s game at Dallas for rest as the Milwaukee Bucks look for a sixth consecutive victory.
New acquisition Nikola Mirotic has not joined the team in Dallas and is presumably in Milwaukee for a physical. The Bucks will return home after the game to host the Orlando Magic Saturday night.
The Bucks beat the Mavericks, 116-106, back on Jan. 21. Dallas is led b 19-year-old rookie Luka Doncic, who has recorded a triple-double in two of his last four games. He’s averaging 20.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
At 25-28, the Mavericks are 11th in the Western Conference, 3 1/2 games behind the eighth-place Los Angeles Clippers.
Middleton will miss his third game of the season. He missed the Dec. 5 game against Detroit for personal reasons and the Dec. 14 game at Cleveland with a sprained finger.
Tony Snell will start in Middleton’s place.
