Benched for the fourth quarter and overtime of Saturday’s loss at the New York Knicks, Bucks forward Khris Middleton is absent from Fiserv Forum Wednesday night as Milwaukee hosts the Detroit Pistons.
The Bucks announced shortly before the game Middleton was away from the team for personal reasons.
Middleton and Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer met early this week and supposedly have worked out what caused Saturday’s benching — a few defensive sequences in which Middleton could have given a better effort at the end of the third quarter.
Wednesday’s absence is sure to spark some speculation. Some answers may be provided after the game.
Tony Snell started in Middleton’s place.
