Giannis Antetokounmpo tried to put his teammates on his back, scoring 17 points in the period, but the Milwaukee Bucks only trimmed two points off their halftime deficit and trail the Philadelphia 76ers, 89-82, entering the fourth quarter.
Antetokounmpo has 34 points and 13 rebounds, but only one other Bucks starter is in double figures (Eric Bledsoe with 10), and Nikola Mirotic is a scoreless 0 for 5.
Antetokounmpo went 5 for 7, including a 3-pointer, from the field and 6 for 7 from the line. His one miss came immediately after he went down with a rolled ankle. He managed to walk off the pain and was going full speed just a few seconds later.
Joel Embiid leads the Sixers with 21, and JJ Redick has 19. Four of Philadelphia’s starters are in double figures, as Jimmy Butler has 13 and Tobias Harris has 10.
