Any worries the Milwaukee Bucks might look past the Atlanta Hawks tonight seem unfounded after one quarter.
The Bucks immediately asserted dominance over the young Hawks, and have built a whopping 43-14 lead after one quarter.
Brook Lopez opened the scoring with a 3-pointer, and the Bucks got rolling early. After a 5-5 tie, the Bucks went on a 31-7 run over the next 8 minutes to take a 36-12 lead.
Even more remarkable, the Bucks didn’t place a player in double figures in the quarter. Instead, amazing balance showed eight Bucs players scoring and five of them scoring at least six points.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez posted eight points each, and Tony Snell, Malcolm Brogdon and Eric Bledsoe added six each.
The Bucks made 60% of their shots (18 of 30), while the Hawks made just 6 of 22 shots (27.3%).
