Basking in the glow of a league-best showing for the 2018 portion of their schedule, the Milwaukee Bucks are looking to begin 2019 on the same winning track with tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons at Fiserv Forum.
Milwaukee, which has won three straight and seven of eight, enters 2019 with the league’s best record at 25-10.
Giannis Antetokounmpo enters the game as the two-time defending Eastern Conference Player of the Week. He was named to the award for the second straight week and the fourth time this season on Monday after averaging 30.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 3.0 blocks and 2.3 steals per game in leading the Bucks to a 3-0 week. He shot 62.1% from the field for the week.
The Bucks are 2-0 against the Pistons this season, with a 115-92 victory at home Dec. 5 and a 107-104 victory at Detroit on Dec. 17. The game is the third of a six-game home stand,
