Antetokounmpo spurs big third-quarter turnaround for Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo asserted himself aggressively in the third quarter and helped the Milwaukee Bucks turn a one-point deficit into a 93-76 lead entering the fourth.

Held to 10 first-half points in 14 foul-plagued minutes, Antetokounmpo took over from the outset of the third quarter, with a 3-pointer spurring a flurry of points.

Antetokounmpo scored 13 points in the first eight minutes as the Bucks delivered an 18-6 run to turn a 59-58 halftime deficit into a 76-65 lead.

Layups by Sterling Brown and George Hill and a 3-pointer by Pat Connaughton made it 90-74, and Brown’s driving 3-point play capped a 10-0 run that gave the Bucks a 93-74 lead with 40.4 seconds left in the period.

Two free throws by Glenn Robinson III cut it to 93-76 after three.

After committing eight first-half turnovers, the Bucks did not commit a turnover in the period.
