George Hill posted 11 second-quarter points as the Milwaukee Bucks kept on rolling and have taken a 70-43 lead over the Detroit Pistons at the half of their playoff series opener.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has 14 points and 10 rebounds, Brook Lopez also has 14 points and Hill has 13 as Milwaukee has completely owned the action beginning with a lob dunk to Lopez from Khris Middleton on the opening possession.
The Bucks took a 38-18 lead after the first quarter.
Playing without their star forward Blake Griffin, the Pistons have opted to play mostly a zone defense. The Bucks are 8 for 23 on 3-pointers and have not had trouble getting inside, either. They’re shooting 53.3% (24 for 45) and have a 31-22 edge on the boards.
The Bucks also are shining on the defensive end, holding the Pistons to 34.6% (18 of 52) shooting.
Luke Kennard leads Detroit with 15 points off the bench, including 3-of-4 shooting on 3-pointers.
