Bucks take halftime lead over cold-shooting Pelicans

Giannis Antetokounmpo has struggled to just eight points and one rebound while picking up three offensive fouls, but the Milwaukee Bucks defense has held New Orleans to 33.3% shooting to take a 56-48 lead at the half.

The Bucks made just 9 of 27 first-quarter shots, but improved to 12 for 22 in the second period. Milwaukee is just 4 for 18 on 3-pointers.

Brook Lopez has gone inside again and leads the Bucks with 10 points despite going 0 for 3 on 3-pointers. Khris Middleton has nine, and Tony Snell and Nikola Mirotic have seven points each, with Snell driving for a layup and a dunk.

Julius Randle leads the Pelicans with 15 points, but New Orleans has made just 19 of 57 shots, including 3 of 27 from behind the arc.

Antetokounmpo’s three offensive fouls have limited him to just 11 minutes.
