Closing run gives Bucks 79-71 lead over Bulls after three

Giannis Antetokounmpo fueled a closing 8-1 run, as the Milwaukee Bucks will take a 79-71 lead into the fourth quarter against the Chicago Bulls.

Antetokounmpo, who sat out Saturday night’s loss to Orlando with a sore knee, has posted 24 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Khris Middleton has added 13 points.

Zach Lavine leads the Bulls with 19 points.

The Bucks seemed ready to take control of the game as Malcolm Brogdon’s 3-pointer capped an 8-0 run and gave the Bucks a 65-53 lead with 7:37 left in the third.

But the Bulls came back with a 17-6 run to pull within a point at 71-70.

Antetokounmpo took the wheel from there, assisting on a Pat Connaughton layup, then scoring a dunk and a layup in a closing 8-1 run.
