Any worries the Milwaukee Bucks might let down at home after winning their last four on the road have been put to rest.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has made 8 of 9 shots, including he only 3-pointer he took, for 19 points, as the Bucks have taken an 85-65 lead over the Washington Wizards at the half.
The Bucks scored a franchise-record 50 points in the first quarter, and the 85 points are one short of the most in a half in team history. They set the record of 86 points against the same franchise — then called the Baltimore Bullets — on Dec. 27, 1968, the team’s first season.
Antetokounmpo also contributed five rebounds and four assists.
Khris Middleton added 13 points as the Bucks placed five players in double figures.
Also of note was Ersan Ilyasova breaking out of an offensive slump as he went 3 for 3 with two 3-pointers, for 10 points.
Bradley Beal leads the Wizards with 14, and Jeff Green has added 12.
