Having won their last four games on the road, the Milwaukee Bucks look for extend their winning streak to five in front of the home crowd as they take on the Washington Wizards.
Washington makes its first appearance at Fiserv Forum. The teams have met twice in Washington this season, with the Wizards claiming a 113-106 victory on Jan. 11 and the Bucks scoring a 131-115 victory on Saturday.
The Wizards received bad news Tuesday when it was announced star guard John Wall, already out for the season after heel surgery, slipped at home and ruptured his Achilles tendon. He’ll miss most of next season according to some reports.
The Bucks adjusted their roster Wednesday by trading third-year center Thon Maker to the Detroit Pistons for fourth-year forward Stanley Johnson. Maker was the 10th pick in the 2016 draft, Johnson was the eighth pick in 2015.
Johnson will not be in Milwaukee in time for tonight’s game, but the hope is he can benefit from a change of scenery. He’s averaging 7.3 points in 20 minutes per game.
At 39-13, the Bucks have the best record in the NBA and have two fewer losses than any other team. They lead the Toronto Raptors (39-16) byt 1 1/2 games.
