Pat Connaughton scored nine of his 11 points and D.J. Wilson also scored nine in a big second quarter for the bench as the Milwaukee Bucks have pulled out to a 62-49 lead over the Detroit Pistons at halftime.
Wilson scored seven of his points in a 9-0 runt that pulled the Bucks out to a 44-35 lead. Connaughton scored his first two points with 45 seconds left in the first period, then heated up in the late stages of the second quarter.
Brooke Lopez and Khris Middleton each have 12 points for the Bucks, who are seeking to move to 13-0 in games following a loss.
Connaughton’s efforts are especially welcome, as starting guard Malcolm Brogdon is out for the game with a bruised sternum he suffered Sunday in a 118-112 loss at Oklahoma City.
Andre Drummond leads the Pistons with 11 points, and Blake Griffin has 10.
