Brook Lopez has gone 4 for 4, including three 3-pointers, and the Milwaukee Bucks have made 10 of 19 from beyond the arc to take a 69-45 lead over the Miami Heat at halftime.
Lopez and Eric Bledsoe share the scoring lead for Milwaukee with 11 points.
The game is a shocking difference from the Dec. 22 meeting between the two teams. In that game, the Bucks made just 9 of 43 3-pointers in a 94-87 loss. Miami packed its defense into the lane to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the outside shooting couldn’t make the Heat pay.
Antetokounmpo is off to a quiet start scoringwise, going 1 for 5 for five points. But he’s dished out six assists and claimed eight rebounds.
The Bucks made just one of their first nine shots before quickly heating up. They shot 65% (15 for 23) in the second quarter.
Tony Snell has two 3-pointers and eight points.
Justise Winslow leads Miami with 14 points, and Hassan Whiteside has 12.
The Bucks led, 36-30, before going on a 12-0 run. Minutes later, a 13-4 Bucks run pushed the lead to 66-40. The margin reached 69-42 on Khris Middleton’s 3-pointer before Winslow closed the half with a 3-pointer.
