Brook Lopez finally got the lid off the 3-point basket for the Bucks, helping spur a 27-9 second-quarter run that has Milwaukee leading the New York Knicks, 53-48, at the half.
The Bucks missed their first eight 3-pointers and were trailing, 35-26, 2 1/2 minutes into the second quarter. Baskets by Malcolm Brogdon and Eric Bledsoe started the Bucks on their way back, and Lopez’s 3-pointer with 7:18 left in the half got them cooking.
Lopez made another three to give the Bucks a 39-37 lead, and a Brogdon triple made it 44-37. Bledsoe canned a three with 1:25 to give the Bucks a 53-44 lead before the Knicks closed with a pair of baskets. After their 0-for-8 start on threes, the Bucks made four of their next eight to finish the half at 4 for 16.
Khris Middleton leads the Bucks with 16 points, Lopez has chipped in 12 and Brogdon 11.
Noah Vonleh leads the Knicks with 10.
