After red-hot start, Bucks facing 13-point deficit at half

After opening the first quarter with red-hot shooting that led to a 28-14 lead six minutes into the game, the Milwaukee Bucks have cooled considerably and trail the Charlotte Hornets, 65-52, at the half.

The Bucks made 8 of their first 10 3-point shots in those first six minutes, but have made just 2 of 11 since.

The Bucks are shooting just 41.3% (19 for 48) from the floor overall, while the Hornets have gotten comfortable offensively. Charlotte is 9 for 15 (60%) from behind the arc and shooting 53.5% overall (23 for 43).

Over the last 18 minutes of the half, the Hornets have outscored the Bucks, 51-24.

Marvin Williams leads the Hornets with 13 points, followed by guards Jeremy Lamb (11) and Kemba Walker (10).

Eric Bledsoe leads the Bucks with 12 points, and Khris Middleton has 11.

The Hornets own a 26-20 edge on the boards and have turned the ball over just five times.

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has been held to five points on 2-of-6 shooting.
