Milwaukee Bucks

Bucks host Spurs – Brew Hoop

Fresh off a 116-114 home loss the the Phoenix Suns, the Milwaukee Bucks welcome the 9-9 San Antonio Spurs to the Fiserv Forum on Saturday night.

Bucks Update

Even though Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped a season-high 35 points, it was not enough to stop T.J. Warren and the visiting Phoenix Suns. The Bucks shot 48.3% from the field, a horrendous 22.7% from deep, and a forgettable 66.7% from the charity stripe. Let’s just forget that last night ever happened.

The Milwaukee Bucks will be without John Henson (wrist), and Donte DiVincenzo (quad) against the Spurs.

Player to Watch: Brook Lopez

After shooting a historically bad 0-for-12 from deep last night, and 3-for-17 overall. It will be interesting to see how Splash Mountain bounces back versus the Spurs. You better believe he will still be letting it fly. It is crucial that he draws Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge away from the paint tonight which will allow the Bucks to have ample shots around the basket.

Spurs Update

Sitting at 9-9 and 3-6 on the road, the San Antonia Spurs picked up an impressive road win last night against the Indiana Pacers. They certainly are not the same without Kawhi Leonard, but they are still coached by one of the GOATs in Greg Popovich. The Spurs have been riddled by injuries this season, but they’ve still gotten contributions from up and down their roster. That’s what coach Pop does. The Spurs currently have the 12th best ORtg (110.0) but they rank in the bottom half of the NBA in DRtg (110.2)

They will be without notable Bucks killer Pau Gasol who is nursing a foot injury.

Player to Watch: DeMar DeRozan

Another Bucks killer. When he was with the Toronto Raptors, DDR loved to play against the Milwaukee Bucks. Without Kawhi in town, DeMar is now the focal point of their offense and he’s enjoying a fantastic season. So far, he’s putting up 24.4 points, 6 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game while shooting 48.4% from the floor. However, his three-point percentage is down to 17.9 this season. Barf.
