On the eve of Thanksgiving, the Bucks delivered yet another statement win, while more than avenging their heaviest loss of the season to date in the process.
The way the previous meeting between the two teams played out certainly could have given the Trail Blazers a lot of confidence heading into Wednesday night, but the Bucks made sure to wrestle it away from them as soon as the game tipped off.
Against the backdrop of a Fiserv Forum that didn’t even have standing room left over — this was the first time the team had sold standing room tickets for a game — the Bucks put their habit of slow starts behind them and dominated from the opening tip.
The Trail Blazers may have been on the second night of a back-to-back, but entering the game as the Western Conference leaders, they certainly couldn’t have anticipated they’d be leaving Milwaukee after a 43-point defeat.
