Milwaukee players trust Mike Budenholzer more than Jason Kidd

The Milwaukee Bucks are one of the hottest teams in the league right now. After Thursday night’s demolition job on the defending champions Golden State Warriors, the Bucks are 9-2 and looking like a much more formidable side than they were last season.

As it turns out, this amazing transition has got a lot to do with new Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer, who has reportedly gained the unwavering trust of his players.

Despite a terrible year with the Atlanta Hawks last season, Budenholzer has emerged as one of the top coaches at this early point in the new campaign. He appears to have gotten his team to buy in on his system and style of play, and as made evident by the Bucks’ scorching start, it has been a match made in heaven thus far.

Getting his players on board — despite being the new kid on the block — speaks volumes of the type of coach Budenholzer is. He has earned the trust and respect of his players, and this has certainly paid dividends for the entire team.

Sad to say, this was not the same attitude the Bucks had towards former head coach Jason Kidd. Contrary to Budonholzer’s situation, the lack of faith the players had in Kidd is a bit surprising considering how he was at the helm for a good three and a half seasons.

Nonetheless, that’s water under the bridge now. What’s important is the Bucks appear to have found the right man for the job. Hopefully, Budenholzer and his team are able to keep up the hot streak for the rest of the season.
