Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 19 points, and a huge contribution of 13 second-quarter points from Pat Connaughton have helped the Milwaukee Bucks to a 64-51 lead at the half over the defending champion Golden State Warriors Thursday night in Oakland.
Antetokounmpo is 9 of 10 from the free throw line after the Bucks shot just eight the entire night in Portland on Tuesday.
Connaughton scored early in the quarter by taking Steph Curry inside as Currie had to be careful playing with two fouls. Connaughton also scored on two baseline cuts and banked in a 3-pointer from straight out as the shot clock was running down. He made 6 of 7 shots in the quarter.
Eric Bledsoe has 12 for the Bucks after being held to 5 at Portland.
Klay Thompson leads the Warriors with 15.
