No Giannis, but Bucks lead Raptors by nine at half

Giannis Antetokounmpo found himself placed into the NBA’s concussion protocol program Monday afternoon and was ruled out of the game against the unbeaten Toronto Raptors.

Thus far, no problem for the Bucks.

Ersan Ilyasova has scored 14 points and Thon Maker has added 10 as the Bucks outplayed the Raptors for a 62-53 lead through the first 24 minutes.

Ilyasova and Maker each have a pair of 3-pointers as the Bucks have made 8 of 24 from beyond the arc.

Serge Ibaka leads the Raptors with 15 points, and Pascal Siakam had 14.

Antetokounmpo too an elbow to the face from Orlando’s Aaron Gordon Saturday night.

The Raptors are playing without start Kawhi Leonard, acquired over the summer after missing most of last season with the San Antonio Spurs. Leonard is missing the game for rest after averaging 35 minutes a game in five games.
