The Milwaukee Bucks return home for a second night of a back-to-back, and will hope to move to 6-0 against the Orlando Magic.
The Milwaukee Bucks will enter into the second night of a back-to-back for the first time this season when the Orlando Magic visit Fiserv Forum on Saturday, and it’s hard to imagine any scenario where they could have opened the season more impressively.
The Bucks are a perfect 5-0 for the first time since the franchise’s sole championship winners opened up their title defense in 1971-72, and they’ve delivered that feat behind an exceptional evolution in the team’s style of play.
Another victory on Friday, against the team now managed by former Bucks executive John Hammond, would see the Bucks set up a particularly enticing Monday night showdown with the Toronto Raptors.
Considering their perceived standing in the Eastern Conference, the first meeting between the Bucks and Raptors was always going to be a source for great intrigue, but as a potential battle between two 6-0 teams the interest can only be expected to swell further.
Before the Bucks can even consider such a scenario, though, they’ll have to take care of business against an Orlando Magic team going through their own adjustments to start the year.
With Steve Clifford now in charge, the Magic have started the season 2-3, without necessarily pointing to any reliable element of their play that they can hang their hat on from night to night.
With all of that in mind, let’s take a look at three of the elements most worthy of your attention when the action tips off from Fiserv Forum on Saturday night.
